Magic of Strategic Thought Process

Does strategically planned life equal complicated life?

Does it always happen in our lives that while taking actions the outcomes that we predict are quite different from the ones which take place?

Let us just rewind our lives and peep into it to see how our actions affects are lives.

Our life is the outcome of the choices that we make. Good or bad it is our creation. For example, when we choose to sleep at 5am and get up late, it is a choice that we are making where we do not want to sacrifice our sleep, however, at the same time we are sacrificing on health, now it could be physical health, mental health or emotional health. We could have chosen that time for any of these, however, we made our choice otherwise. This will have a direct impact on our life and the results will be visible ones.

Most of the times in our lives the responses that we give are instant and not thoughtful. Maybe it is what is required at that time. There are situations in our lives that require immediate response.

 Is it possible for us to be strategic about instant responses?

In my view, it is. Even when we respond instantly to certain situations, we still can have strategic thinking around it. All it requires is a problem-solving attitude and not a negative thought process. We can also leverage our previous experiences in these situations. However, it is important for us to have balanced emotions while instant reactions because some emotions block our rational thinking, like when we are angry, we will not be able to think rationally and our reaction will be how to hurt the other person by our words. So, we should always have the end goal in mind throughout our communication so as to see what the final outcome is that we want to achieve.

In our day to day lives if we plan our lives in a strategic way, we will be able to have more than options or solution to any problem and we can assess and choose whichever is the best. There are so many factors we should be considering like vulnerability calculation and analysis of things in a meticulous way to reach the best possible outcome. However, this is possible only if we follow strategic thinking consistently on our everyday lives. With strategical thinking we will also be able to overcome our deep-down underlying fears.

Values play a particularly important part in our life regardless of our awareness about them or not. Our all decisions will always be based on our values directly or indirectly. The moment anything happens in our life which is against our value system or different from our value system, our mind goes haywire. Our mind will run in two opposite directions till the time we settle this, which will be either by accepting the situation or changing the situation in both the ways we will be matching it with our some or the other value.

Some of the ways we can shift our thought process to be thinking in a strategic way would be to think proactively about the challenges that we might face and making a goal plan around them. It is always better to break your goals into smaller parts to make them more achievable.  The goals should be formed which resonate with our potential and capabilities and not which sound and look good to have.

To summarize, would want to end with a thought that these strategies will be applicable to all the aspects of our lives starting from physical, mental to emotional. Some of these strategies could be considerably basic & simple ones which can act as guiding principles in our lives. With strategic thinking our small thoughts can generate big ideas. With constant focus and positive mindset, we can achieve any goal that we set our mind to.

One thing is imperative that we are the protagonist of our lives and the measure of how successful our life strategy is how happy, and fulfilled our life is.
