Kill Your Comfort Zone

Do we really want to live the life of our dream?

Are we ready to change or take challenges in stride?

If yes, we have to come out of  our comfort zone, the area that has kept us in a set mind frame or a set pattern of life. For example right now we are living a life of our choice and we are doing our best to satisfy our needs according to us. We feel we have achieved what we wish to achieve in our life. Monetary wise, yes but metally if we take a deep dive into our desires it is a big ‘NO’ Somewhere our heart and our mind wants us to do something like diving deep into the sea, watch animals in their natural habitat or sit at a corner of our cozy home and read books, but what we keep saying  to ourselves is “we don't have the time.”

‘Wrong’ its not that we do not have the time, it is  because we are stuck in our own mind frame and tell ourselves that we do not have the time,we are too lazy to pursue our needs and our dreams.

Comfort zone is that state of our lifestyle or situation of life where we calculatedly don't sanction known or unknown changes in our existing life.It’s an artificial mental boundary which prevents us from reaching our goal. It’s like an armour which gives us a momentary gain & everlasting pain. We find so much comfort in our life that we do not want to take any stress to change, that leads to a pause in our overall growth.  We create a niche around ourselves and do not wish to move out, explore and expand.

How to move forward?

In order to move forward we have to push ourselves out of our own mindset, our own area of comfort, get ready to give up on things that keep us at ease and get charged by the thoughts of achieving what we always wanted to achieve and imagine ourselves at that point of success that will keep us motivated.

Successful cricketer does not get success all of a sudden it requires rigorous efforts and mindset to go and do something out of the comfort zone in order to achieve the goals .

When we move out of our comfort zone, we are sure to realize that we can achieve more in life than just what we have in our hand. Our focus and concentration will improve to acquire new skills. Those new skills will instill in us confidence and transform ourselves completely.

Some tips to move out of the comfort zone

Awareness:- We have to be aware of ourselves and what we wish to achieve and also be aware of our habits that are stopping us to move forward.

Break pattern:- We set patterns in our lives and get used to that pattern in order to achieve something, we have to break this pattern and incorporate new habits and behaviours so be prepared to break the set patterns.

Realise the positive outcomes:- Our decision making skills will improve,a new skill will be developed  that will increase our confidence in ourselves. We can use this skill to help others to grow that will give us immense pleasure.

Take advice or training: Beginning is always difficult so we can take some expert advice or training if needed to move forward. For example, if one wants to learn swimming, we have to find time to learn this new skill. A skilled trainer can only help us to achieve our goals.

Set priority: Time management and setting priority is extremely important to break the pattern and incorporate new habits or skills. To achieve our goal we have to push our set limits and manage time to take the necessary training without avoiding what we already have in our hand.

Focus and concentration:- Stay focused on our objectives to reach the goal. Don’t be afraid to move on the unknown path and move alone that will build our strength. Stay focused and don’t be afraid to fail, get up and move.

Motivate yourself: Motivation is the key to success , motivation is the key to come out of the comfort zone and motivation is the key to move firmly towards the goal. Motivation is the key to rise after a fall. So stay motivated.

“Learning isn't a way of reaching one's potential but rather a way of developing it.” Anders Ericsson. So in order to learn we have to move out of our comfort zone, have to break set patterns, we have to put in our entire efforts and stay focused to reach our goal.
